GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) is a new law passed by the EU (European Union) that requires all websites to follow certain requirements. The fine for violating these requirements is $20 million. Is that crazy? Yes! Not only that, you can even be banned from serving any EU customers ever again.

Do you really need to be GDPR compliant?

If people from the European Union can visit and interact with your website, you need to be compliant.

• If people from the EU can sign up as leads on your website or give you their details in any other way, you need to be compliant.
• If your website makes use of cookies or has any third-party integrations that use cookies (Facebook pixel, analytics, etc.)
• It doesn’t matter if you sell something to people in the EU or not. If they can access it, you have to be compliant.
