bpchat is a  buddypress , WordPress  user-based chat plugin   . If this plugin is installed on any buddypress user-based blog, forum, community, directory, e-commerce or  social networking site  , all the automatically connected users can chat with each other instantly. This plugin is also intended to make an easy way to chat like Facebook for dating, matrimony, community social networking site based on WordPress and Buddypress framework.

Limitations

• The plugin only works with WordPress based websites
• All users must be logged in to chat with each other.
• jQuery 1.7 or newer is required. WordPress 3.4+ already uses jQuery 1.8.3 by default if your theme doesn’t unregister and load the old one.
