The WooCommerce File Approval plugin integrates seamlessly with your WooCommerce installation, allowing you to share files with your customers. Files that can be approved or rejected!

THE IDEA

It turns out that a store manager needs to share some files with a customer after a purchase. These files need to be approved or rejected by the customer. Eventually, the customer should be given the possibility to leave a message explaining the reason for his actions. This process should continue until the file is approved by the customer!

WooCommerce File Approval was designed to meet this need! The store manager can now create all the attachments needed for an order! Each attachment will have its own file and message thread that allows communication with the customer. Each attachment has some additional options, such as the “reply policy” (how many times the user can post a message) and the “file title”.

HOW IT WORKS: THE APPROVAL WORKFLOW

The process is straightforward:

1. The administrator, through the order details page, attaches one or more files. For each of them, a message can be left. Once saved, a notification email is sent to the user
2. The user, through the order details page, can approve or reject the attachment. Optionally, he can leave a message. After that, a notification is sent to the administrator
3. The administrator may eventually re-attach a new file or simply post a message to get more information (so the process goes through step 1 again)

EMAIL NOTIFICATION

Whenever the administrator edits attachments (so the user has to approve/reject them again) or posts a message, the customer receives an email notification. The same happens when the customer approves/rejects an attachment or if he sends a message. Email texts can be configured (and eventually translated via WPML) via the special email texts menu.

NEW CONTENT FEATURE

Whenever the admin edits an attachment or adds a new message, that content will be highlighted on the front-end to provide better feedback to the customer. The same happens when a customer leaves a message: on the admin order details page, the new message will be highlighted.

KEEP YOUR SERVER CLEAN

Attached files are uploaded to the WordPress media gallery and linked to the order. Once an attachment is deleted, the associated file will be automatically deleted. If an order is deleted, all associated files will be deleted.

WPML

The plugin supports the WPML translation plugin. You will be able to customize and translate email texts via the special menu.

UPLOAD LARGE FILES

The plugin automatically configures your media gallery to accept large file uploads without the need for any additional server configuration!

BIG PICTURE VIEW

In case of using large images (>2500px), make sure to correctly configure Settings -> Media -> Large Size to accept the required width and height.
