The problem with Twitter share counts is that Twitter has dropped support for their counting service, most of the plugins on the market (well all of them) rely on third party service to count shares which can show fake shares. Sharkha does not use any third party service, we use the official Twitter API to count your shares, the official API allows us to search the Twitter database using the links on your website, the plugin does a search on the Twitter database every 7 days and counts the returned search entry then saves it to its database.
